It was a good time of enhanced home sales in Huntsville and Madison County, according to statistics released Friday by the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors.
Residence sales in May improved 16.58 percent evaluated with the similar month a year ago, HAAR said. There were 450 house sold in May balanced with 386 homes sold last May, the association said.
Home sales were basically unmovable evaluated with April, when 452 homes were sold.
It's an additional sign that "Huntsville (and) Madison County (are) definitely one of the dazzling spots in the nationwide housing market," Oscar Gonzales, the CEO of the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors, said in a release.
The account is comparable all over Alabama, according to data from the Alabama Center for Real Estate.
Sales in May in Alabama improved 13.8 percent balanced with last May, ACRE said. It was the 11th successive month that home sales in Alabama have enhanced compared with the same month the prior year.
The medium advertising price in Alabama in May was $127,143, a raise of 2.4 percent from last May, ACRE said. In Huntsville and Madison County, the single-family home middle price in May - the stature at which partly sold for more and half advertised for less - was $168,500, an enhance of 6.65 percent from April.
The median single-family price last May was $171,000, HAAR said.
